Photography FunCamp
Bring your camera and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of photography. Learn the fundamentals of photography and how you can create great photographs from any camera. Go beyond snapshots and use professional techniques to capture dynamic images. Each day, we will learn how to create a different type of photograph – from landscape to portrait to abstract. Any camera will do, as long as you know how to use it. This camp will qualify you for our advanced class this fall. Session II [10-15 years]: July 12-15; 10:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Writing/Grammar Boot Camp
Expect to have fun as we dig into this fast-paced review and overview of writing fundamentals, including sentence structure, paragraph writing, and the classic 5-paragraph essay. Activities will include games and puzzles. Students will learn writing techniques by studying the varying writing styles of classic authors. You will be expected to WRITE during this week, so get ready! Session I [11+ years]: July 12-15; 1:30 – 4 p.m. Session II* [13+ years ]: July 27-30; 1:30 – 4 p.m. *Session II includes more advanced techniques, including timed essay writing for the SAT/ACT/compass tests.
